Jail capacity was not published in the reviewed research. The facility card therefore sticks to the verified address, phone, and hours instead of adding an unsupported bed count.
Liberty County Booking and Bond
A person arrested in Liberty County must complete booking before release. Part of booking is establishing bond. The Sheriff's FAQ says traffic-charge bond is usually the traffic fine amount, and each person booked into jail must pay a $20.00 jail fee before release. Liberty County Jail Visitation
The Sheriff's jail-information page says there is no in-person visitation and directs public communication to HomeWAV. Video visitation is available every day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:55 p.m. The FAQ also says inmates receive a scheduled day and time and that special emergency or out-of-state visitor exceptions must be presented to the Jail Administrator for approval. Liberty County Jail Mail and Property
The jail-information page says postcards and legal mail from an attorney may be sent to the jail address. The researched official page did not publish a full accepted address format with booking number or pod, so callers should use 912-876-6411 before mailing if the exact format matters. That avoids inventing a mailing format the jail may reject.
Family or friends may bring underwear during the first 72 hours of incarceration. Items must be new, unopened, and solid white. Allowed quantities are 6 pairs of socks, 6 T-shirts, and 6 pairs of undershorts. Women may have 3 bras instead of T-shirts, but bras must be solid white and wireless. After 72 hours, the inmate may purchase these items from store call, and inmates are allowed only 6 each.
Property release must be initiated by the inmate through a property release form. Anyone claiming property or money must show proper ID. Money is released by check and can be cashed at Heritage Bank in Hinesville with proper ID. Jail staff will not contact an inmate to request money release.
Liberty County Inmate Funds
