Lookup Liberty County Inmates

Liberty County inmate records are searched through the county jail roster, recent arrest listings, phone contacts, and related sheriff channels. A Liberty County jail roster search can show who is currently booked, who was arrested in the last 24 hours, and which charge or bond fields are visible in the public report. The roster is a custody snapshot, not a certified court disposition. Booking status, bond, warrant number, and court labels should be checked against the jail, the court record, or the state offender system when the person has moved beyond county custody.

Liberty County Jail Roster

The Liberty County Sheriff's Office publishes an inmate-information page that links the current jail population. Sheriff William Bowman leads the Sheriff's Office. The public roster is an automatic report from the in-house jail database and is provided without a warranty. It is still the main local public source for current booking status, recent arrests, bond, charge rows, warrant numbers, and court labels.

The Sheriff's inmate information page is the official landing point for the roster.

Start there when confirming the current public roster source, then use the roster tabs for current inmates, 24-hour arrests, or arrest-date views.

The roster does not replace state prison, probation, parole, or certified court records. Georgia.gov says state offender search is for state facilities and that county jail users should check county websites. For the full filed case and disposition, jail data should be compared with the Clerk's court search and the court handling the charge.

Search Liberty County Inmates

The public roster has three main views: current inmates, 24-hour arrests, and inmates by arrest date. It also has an optional name filter, a Search Inmates button, and pagination. A name search can narrow results, but users should still compare status, arrest date, arresting agency, charge, court, and bond before relying on a match.

  1. Open the Current Jail Population portal from the Sheriff's jail-inmates page.
  2. Select Current Inmates for present custody, 24 Hours Arrests for recent bookings, or Inmates by Arrest Date when date is the best clue.
  3. Use the optional name filter if the roster list is long. Partial name matches may still need careful review.
  4. Read each charge row, including Warrant#, Counts, Statute, Description, M/F, Court, Total Bond, and status.
  5. Call the jail at 912-876-6411 or booking after hours at 912-369-9271 if the public row does not answer a custody question.

The current jail roster shows search tabs, pagination, inmate rows, charges, and bond fields.

Those row details help connect a booking to the right court path, but the final case result must be confirmed through court records.

Liberty County Inmate Search Fields

The roster's public search is simple, which makes the field labels important. It is not a full criminal-history portal. It is a jail-population report with tabs and a filter. If a person has been released, transferred, sentenced to state custody, or held by a different agency, the county roster may not show the full picture.

Liberty County Jail Contact

Liberty County Jail is the local facility for county jail custody. The Sheriff's jail-information page gives a separate jail address from the Sheriff's administrative office. Liberty County Booking and Bond

A person arrested in Liberty County must complete booking before release. Part of booking is establishing bond. The Sheriff's FAQ says traffic-charge bond is usually the traffic fine amount, and each person booked into jail must pay a $20.00 jail fee before release. Public roster rows may show total bond as NOT SET, DENIED, or a dollar amount, but the public row is still a snapshot.

Three bond methods are listed in the research: cash bond, bonding company, and property bond. Cash bond means American currency or a U.S. Postal money order for the full bond. Bonding-company lists are displayed in the jail lobby, booking area, and jail-information page, and the Sheriff's Office will not recommend a company. Property bond has strict Liberty County requirements, including Liberty County property, no delinquent taxes, all owner signatures, and approval during posted hours.

Property bond rules are detailed. The property value must be at least double the original bond plus state surcharges, and higher amounts can require an attorney title opinion or recorded Deed to Secure Debt. A corporation, mobile home, vehicle, or business cannot be used as the property-bond asset under the researched rules.

Liberty County Jail Visitation

The Sheriff's jail-information page says there is no in-person visitation and directs public communication to HomeWAV. Video visitation is available every day from 9:00 a.m. to 9:55 p.m. The FAQ also says inmates receive a scheduled day and time and that special emergency or out-of-state visitor exceptions must be presented to the Jail Administrator for approval. The current posted jail-information rule is the key one to follow.

That page is the best official check before scheduling video communication or bringing allowed property during the narrow clothing window.

Liberty County Jail Mail and Property

The jail-information page says postcards and legal mail from an attorney may be sent to the jail address. The researched official page did not publish a full accepted address format with booking number or pod, so callers should use 912-876-6411 before mailing if the exact format matters. That avoids inventing a mailing format the jail may reject.

Family or friends may bring underwear during the first 72 hours of incarceration. Items must be new, unopened, and solid white. Allowed quantities are 6 pairs of socks, 6 T-shirts, and 6 pairs of undershorts. Women may have 3 bras instead of T-shirts, but bras must be solid white and wireless. After 72 hours, the inmate may purchase these items from store call, and inmates are allowed only 6 each.

Property release must be initiated by the inmate through a property release form. Anyone claiming property or money must show proper ID. Money is released by check and can be cashed at Heritage Bank in Hinesville with proper ID. Jail staff will not contact an inmate to request money release.

Liberty County Sheriff App

The Liberty County Sheriff, GA app is a convenience channel documented in the research. Store listings say the app provides a live feed of all inmates detained in the Liberty County Jail, registered sex offenders plotted on an interactive map, Submit a Tip, push alerts, and agency communication features. It is not a separate certified record source, but it can be useful when a mobile inmate feed is easier than a browser roster.

The iOS listing supports app-based access, while custody facts should still be checked against the roster or jail when accuracy matters.

Android users can use the app as another public notification and inmate-feed channel, not as a replacement for court dispositions or certified jail records.

County Jail vs GDC Search

The Liberty County jail roster covers county custody. The Georgia Department of Corrections offender search covers state prison, probation, and parole information after a person enters the state correctional system. For older custody questions, transfer questions, or post-sentence status, check whether the person is still in county jail or has moved to state supervision.

Victim notification is another support channel. The Sheriff's VINE page says VINE lets survivors, victims, and concerned citizens access timely offender or criminal-case information, register for email, text, or phone notifications, or check custody status online. VINE is a notification support tool, not the same as the roster or a court disposition.

For booking or incident data that does not appear online, use the Sheriff's open-records channel. For filed charges and final outcomes, use the Clerk's court records and request a specific disposition when certified proof is needed.
